Soulwaves : Insertions

Preamble

Insertion 1 The Scroll

The Scroll tells the story of a lady called Pamela who has an accident on her bicycle. She has an NDE, a near death experience, which Councillor One takes as an opportunity to ‘walk in’. She awakens with a super-sense of being able to see the future and know that date of a person’s death. She makes a fortune consulting with a firm who trades in futures. This is the only tale that overlaps events in Soulwaves the novel. The notion of Unity here is that of all life forms on a single planet are about exiting the Density at exactly the same time. Pamela is just a little late in publishing a book that explains life, the universe and everything. I am of course channelling Douglas Adams here.

Insertion 2 Dua

Dua is inspired by events in pre-pre-history that I came across in Cosmic Memory by Rudolph Steiner. He talks about the Extrusion of the Moon and the Division of the Sexes. I bring these two events together and explore how Councillor Two used a cosmic collision of two planets to bring two counter-spiralling strands of RNA together to form the tuning forks of DNA from which we are made.

Insertion 3 Sol

Sol describes another event from a more recent pre-history when humanoids first got the word. This time is captured in scriptures as the Word Being Made Flesh. Some fun was had to imply that cannibalism was a necessary and speedy way of passing on learnings to future generations. Councillor Three’s role in all of this was dispensed with the lightest of touches.

Insertion 4 The Quad

The Quad is played out on the planet Lemu, sometimes referred to as Lemuria. Fictionally of course, this planet’s fragments form what we call the Asteroid Belt. When a life experiment gets out of hand, drastic action is taken by the Council. As all life passes to and from the Void to the Density, and back again, such mass extinctions are not as terminal as they seem. Councillor Four sees to that. By the way, medium once told me that I was there at the very time.

Insertion 5 Obscurity

Obscurity is set in the Cold War of the 1960s and was the most fun to research. Councillor Five herself descends and, while not knowing why she came, was instrumental in saving the world from nuclear Armageddon, more than once. This was kind of inspired by Forrest Gump but all similarities end there.

Insertion 6 Hex

Hex is another story that took a fair amount of research. I was inspired by a book by Irving Leonard Finkel is a British philologist and Assyriologist on Cuneiform. Cuneiform was a syllabic language and its introduction in Sumerian times lead to a shift in our consciousness. Before that writing used literal pictograms. Somewhat ironically, nowadays we have gone back to images conveying concepts in the form of emojis. When Cuneiform emerged, sounds became ideas and we learned the power of incantation and how thoughts become things, especially when spoken. The legend of the Tower of Babel is interwoven in this cautionary tale on how not to ascend to the heavens. Our role is to bring heaven down to the Earth Plane.

Insertion 7 Septima

Septima is purely channelled. Wikipedia contains none of this information. It is an entirely speculative exploration of how our known Universe came to be. It neatly explains where all that so-called Dark Matter and Dark Energy is hanging out and Councillor Seven’s unique role in the Council, which even the other councillors are not aware of. Hang about, if they are reading or listening to these words, they are aware now.

Insertion 8 Octavious

Octavious plays out a few hundred thousand years after the end of Soulwaves : A Future History. The few remaining humans are running a successful enclave on Mars in the colossal canyon of Valles Marineris. A handful of others made it to the other side of the galaxy and started a race of dolphin-human hybrids on a planet called Aquanine. Councillor Eight performs a double and simultaneous insertion to broker a cross-galactic conversation.

Insertion 9 Noma

Noma is a purely channelled thought piece. It wasn’t planned, the whole chapter came along in meditation. It’s an example of how the Councillors pop in and out of our consciousness all the time, if you like. It’s a dialogue between me and Councillor Nine about the significance of the number 9.

Insertion 10 Io

Io also came in unexpectedly and fully formed as a notion. Astronomy and astrology at best run in parallel and at worst are divergent in their world views. This is a tale of how planets within and without a solar system inter-communicate. It turns out Jupiter is not just the bringer of joy but the source of our self-awareness. Councillor 10 is the overseer of such interactions. Notice how the number 10 and the word Io are similarly shaped. The clues are there if we only look and notice.

Insertion 11 Elveland

Elveland slightly predated the novel Soulwaves and tells of an episode in Shen’s mother’s childhood. As I wrote this when COVID19 was rampant in 2020, I thought I’d have some fun with a tale of how COVID38 was finally eliminated from the planet in 2039. I bring the Underworld and the Elementals into the equation. Note that the action in Soulwaves starts in Beijing and heads through Wuhan. Like the novel, this tale is perhaps prophetic in nature.

Insertion 12 The Duadex

The Duadex both closes and opens a loop. The closed loop tells of what happens to Pamela’s life work from Insertion i. The open loop will lead to book three from the anthology, called The Duadex which is set in the far future. Here the Void and the Density have become one and all life in the known Universe finally discover that they are not alone.
